Christmas time is coming

Hello my lovely readers! :)

As you may have seen I have a new icon on the right side of my blog counting the days left till Christmas. I don't know why, but this year I can't wait for Christmas to come faster! I am all sooo into that festive spirit and can't wait to decorate my home :)

I love christmas not only because everyone gets something from their beloved ones but also because it is actually the only time a year when all family gets to be in one place and to share all the joy with each other. Christmas is not only about presents but more about sharing beautiful moments with your family members and friends. I love to spend time in the kitchen helping my grandmother, aunt and mum to prepare Christmas dishes! :)

However, sometimes Christmas time can be very stressful for most of us because we can't find presents that we need, we have not enough money and so on. But don't let those things get your festive spirit down and better think of the positive things.

What about you girls? Are you in the Christmas spirit?

Have a wonderful week,

Contest entry: Supervillain's Character contest

Hi, girls!

I made this look some time ago but haven't enough time to upload the pictures to my blog.
As the rules of this contest say, you have to create a photo story. So enjoy my Vampire girl story below:)

Legend of vampire girl

Legend tells that hundred years ago in dark castle lived a mysterious girl. People say that she spent all days sleeping and woke up only at night. Everyone was scared because more and more people were found dead with a bite mark on their neck.

One day, Vampire girl was sleeping as usually but suddenly she woke up as she heard the human voices in her castle.

She was very angry because someone dared to enter her castle without invitation and what is more, they waken her up of her sleep!

Vampire girl was so furious that she even started screaming!
-Who dare to enter my castle without my permission???

Vampire was so livid that she transformed into bat and flew to find intruders. The last sight was released from the mouths of two dying men.

Vampire girl transformed from the bat. Now she was happy.

The sweet taste of blood was in her mouth and now she was satisfied.

Do you want to enter my castle?

Review: bareMinerals Rocker Eye Tutorial kit

Hello, girls! :)

As you all know, my blog is beauty related so i decided to start writing reviews on beauty and makeup products. So for my first review I chose bareMinerals Rocker Eye Tutorial kit. I have never used any of bareMinerals products before because we do not have this brand in Lithuania and when I got this kit, I was very excited to try it. Rocker Eye tutorial kit is one of 6 other tutorial kits and you can buy it for $38 from www.bareescentuals.com

It comes in a little cute box as you can see above. On the side of the box you can see the picture of all things which are inside.

This kit includes:

  • bareMinerals 1980s eyeshadow 0.28g
  • bareMinerals Rock Star eyecolor 0.28g
  • bareMinerals Black Leather liner shadow 0.28g
  • and also a double-ended rock'n'roll brush

Above is the rock'n'roll brush. The smudge end on the left sweeps and pats eyeshadow on the eyelid as base and crease contour shades while the pointed end on the right can be used wet or dry to sweep eyeshadow on the upper, lower and the inner lash lines for a dramatic frame.

This brush works very well with all types of eyeshadow and makes application very easy and smooth.

In this kit you will also find eyeshadow in 3 different colors. I was surprised with the quality of eyeshadow as they are very pigmented and it is really easy to apply them on your eyelid. Although, one eyeshadow piece are only 0.28g and it is extra small in size, it is so pigmented that you only need a small amount of product and it will definitely last for a long time. Colors of eyeshadow are in gradient shades from chrome to blackest black. These colors are great to create a smoky or dark rock princess look.

Above you can see swatches from lightest to the darkest eyeshadow. As you can see, all eyeshadow are very intense in color and also has glitters in it. Thing I don't like about these eyeshadow, is that all colors are very similar and it doesn't contrast when applied on the eyelid.

One more positive thing about this kit is that box is very smart made and has an upper section which includes instructions and shows some different looks and also describes some application techniques step by step.

All in all, I liked this kit. I think it is great for those who love dark and dramatic eyelooks and also for those who want to achieve smoky or rocker look. Eyeshadows are not only very pigmented but also are 100% natural. And double-ended brush is must have if you want to get professional look.

My rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ (4/5)

Hope this review will be helpful. If you have any questions about this kit, feel free to ask in the comment box below.

I will also make a look using this kit, so keep checking back:)

Have a nice day,

This is the post that was published some time ago in My Passport to style blog so if you haven't checked my post there, here is the opportunity to take a look at some ideas how to make your hair look different adding just a little detail.

I am sure, that every woman has a piece of fabric left after a sewing project. And if not, you can just grab a ribbon or hair sash.

It is better to use a piece of fabric in bright color for it not to fade in your hair. I used one in white as shown in the picture below.

You can really make a difference in your every day look by just adding this accessory to your hair.

And there are hundreds of ways how to use it and you can be as creative as you like.

I used the sash in 5 different ways and It only takes just a couple of minutes to do this, so don't be afraid to experiment!

First look is inspired by the 70's hippie style. This look is very trendy nowadays and you can see some celebrities as Nicole Richie wearing it like that. All you need to do is just grab your sash and incorporate it in a simple plait using a section of your side hair.

Another look is very similar to the first one. However, this one is not that hippie and makes you look like you are wearing a head band. You need to make a plait using the piece of fabric using a section of hair that are close to your ear. Then, using a couple of bobby pins clip the plait around your head to look like a headband.

Third look is one of the easiest to make and creates a look popular in 50's. You just tie it around your head.

Another look is very simple to make. You just have to wrap the sash around your hair. It looks very modern and can be worn to work or to school just to add some fun to your daily look.

The last look is the most funky but also very stylish nowadays. Just make a bow band of your sash.

These pictures are just an example of how you can style your hair and add some fun to your daily look.
Hope this tutorial will be helpful:)

And don't be afraid to try something new and creative!

Have a wonderful day,
Sugar <3

Hair: Doughnut bun shaper

Hi, girls!:)

I've got a very long hair and love braiding, plaiting and making fun out of them so I decided to share some tips how to make one or another cute hairdo. This is my very first post in this category, so if you have any ideas or requests what should i do next, feel free to comment :)

Have you ever wondered how to get that sophisticated hair bun like celebrities have?

I have always thought that this hairdo is really hard to do and only could be done by the professionals in the hair salons. But trust me, I have found a simple way to get a very similar look and it is that easy that everyone could do that.

The most important thing you need is the doughnut bun shaper which looks like this:

They are in different shapes and colors so you could choose one similar to your hair color. I am sure that you can find it in every hair accessories shop or just buy it from eBay! It costs about $4. It is not that expensive but if you want to save some money and time, you can just spend 10 minutes and make one yourself.

Things you need:

1. A long warm sports sock.
2. One tight stocking.
3. Scissors.

Firstly, cut the front parts of the both socks so it would look something like this:

Now follow and do everything as shown in pictures below (you can use socks in your favorite colors):

And finally, you should get something like this and now the bun shaper is ready to use!

How to get a beautiful bun using the bun shaper:

(1)Now brush your hair and simply pull your hair into a ponytail and secure it with a scrunchy or an elastic band.

(2)Pull your hair through the center of your doughnut bun shaper.

(3) Spread your hair and wrap a bun shaper with them and then pull another scrunchy to firm your bun.

(4)Coil and tuck the remaining hair in circular fashion around the doughnut, pinning diagonally
with hairpins or long bobbypins.

You can be as creative as you like and add more hair accessories, flowers or anything you like. You can also make some plaits integrated into your bun.

Hope that it will be a helpful tutorial:)

Have a nice day,
Sugar<3
